My sister, Connie and her husband, Bob. Their 25 grandchildren make their family gatherings incredible.

Mashed Potatoes

Our family is crazy about mashed potatoes and Janet most of all. Therefore, she has become the master of the mashed potatoes at our house. On Thanksgiving she recruits the little kids to peel the 10 pounds or so of potatoes we cook and then she cooks and mashes them to perfection. I wasn’t going to include this recipe because it is so basic I thought everyone already knows how to do this. But then I remembered that even Janet spent a couple of years under Dave’s careful tutelage and if you’ve never cooked something it’s neither basic nor easy. So follow this recipe and relax, your potatoes will be wonderful.
